The biennial graphic exhibition was opened.

The opening ceremony of the biennial exhibition was held in Amir Ali Sheer Nawaee conference hall with the presence of Prof, Abdul Aziz Nomani Chancellor of Herat University, Mulavi Menatullah Akhondzadeh, special representative of the Ministry of Higher Education, and Herat University deputy of Finance and Administrative, Prof, Ghulam Hazrat Hasas Deputy of Students’ Affairs, Prof, Rahim Bakhsh Faqiryar head of Lecturers’ Affairs and superintendent of Academic deputy, Prof, Mohammad Tofiq Rahmani dean of the faculty of Fine Arts, heads of the state officials, presidents of private universities and deans of the Herat University’s faculties.
The ceremony started with the recitation of Holly Quran and then Prof, Mohammad Tofiq Rahmani dean of faculty of Fine Arts while welcoming the guests, talked about the importance of art in development of spirituality, the relations of human and art and its effects on the human life which bring the positive changes in the society. He also talked about the achievements of the Fine Arts faculty and said: “Fortunately, the Ministry of Higher Education approved new department of Rug design and it will start its activities beside other departments of this faculty”,
Dean of the faculty of Fine Arts thanked the celebrants of the ceremony and said: “There are 125 art works in this exhibition which were created by professors and students of Graphic department; this exhibition will remain open one week for who are interested.”
In continue, Prof, Abdul Aziz Nomani Chancellor of Herat University appreciated the art activities of this faculty, he talked about the role and the undeniable position of art in society, effects of art for better understanding of power and greatness of Allah, relations of Islam with art and messaging through the art; he also promised to cooperate and improve the staff’s capacity building of this faculty.
Then Prof, Fazal-Al-Rehman Yazdani, a professor of Graphic department talked about the role and artistic position of graphic in social life and gave information about the exhibition.
In the end, the biennial graphic exhibition was inaugurated by guests.
