Consultation Department
An overview of the past few decades of Afghanistan has shown that our country has been struggling in many different social, economic, cultural, and political spheres during this time, with the main reason for such situations being in the presence of the dreaded and invisible phenomenon of "war". The war caused people’s life to fall into crisis, stagnated the country’s infrastructure. Poverty, unemployment, and immigration eventually exacerbated insecurity. The above scenarios, on the one hand, challenged the material condition of our society, and, on the other hand, its adverse and undesirable on the psyche of the inhabitants of this land. The results of the research show that the level of psychological problems, emotional abnormalities, behavioral, occupational, inferiority and even marriage in the society is very high. In order to get rid of these problems and psychological abnormalities, there is a need for experienced psychologists and trained, experienced counselors to put their expert work through psychiatric and counseling centers serving the people in the cities and villages of the country. Therefore, in order to fulfill the needs of the community, a counseling department was set up to become the first step in educating qualified counselors and mentors in the field of counseling and psychotherapy. Based on the need for the Afghan community, the consulting department was established in 2015. This department began its first teaching class in the spring semester of 2015 and will continue its activities.
