Opening the Sources: Its Rules and Significance in the Field of Contemporary Jurisprudence

The Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies at Herat University held a scientific seminar titled "The Opening of Means (Fath al-Dhara’i) and Its Importance in the Fields of Contemporary Jurisprudence."
In this seminar, Professor Dr. Abdul Latif Faiq, a faculty member of the Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Studies, explained various aspects of the topic. He discussed the linguistic and terminological definitions of Fath al-Dhara’i, related terms, the views and opinions of jurists regarding this principle, the authority of this legal maxim, its relevant rules, and the method of reconciling it with other legal principles.
Additionally, examples of the role of the Fath al-Dhara’i principle in contemporary jurisprudence were presented to further clarify this concept and highlight its impact on modern jurisprudential issues.
