Animal Science Department
The Department of Animal Science is the first department established at the same time as the Faculty of Agriculture was established in 1989 under this faculty. The total number of students enrolled in the establishment of this year, is 14 students. Through the effort of hardworking teachers of this department, for the first time in 1993, 14 graduate students were trained and presented to the community. This department currently has 96 students.
The Animal Science Laboratories: The Animal Science Department has three labs in different sections, each section is equipped with all facilities and animal skeletons of Sheep and Goats, Elephants, Chickens, Cock, Pigeons and non-animal animals with skeletons. There are also a number of anatomical training charts, including Blood Circulation, Breathing, Grasshopper, Genital and Antenatal Charts. Other equipment includes Esophageal Catheter to adapt fluid spices in animals and to eliminate bloating, baldness or small animals, small nosepieces to curb animals during practical tasks, swollen poison of Chinese animals, large animals, Trocar to eliminate bloating, File is for the teeth of animals such as spas and other facilities in the food and nutrition and physiology sector.
Animal Science Farm: There are 3 heads of cattle and calves, 6 heads of goats and 14 sheep and 4 hens and boars. These animals are used to carry out some experiments and identify local breeds of animals and carry out practical tasks such as Interior, Surgery, Parasitology, Pharmacology, and Anthropology of the Faculty of Agriculture and Veterinary, which is a good partner in this field.
Objectives of the Department:
1. Training of Experts and Technicians in animal breeding sectors.
2. Familiarity with the modern systems of animal breeding and management.
3. Promote and develop modern animal breeding systems within the community of animal products producers.
4. Introducing the appropriate technology in collecting, processing, packing, sourcing, and stocking of animal products.
5. Proper nutrition for Animals and Poultry.
6. Protecting wildlife, pastures and their management.
7. Breeding Farm Animals and Poultry.
8. Production of quality animal products from a qualitative and quantitative look.
9. Preventing the Farm Animals from Animal disease and pests.
10. To increase the technical and vocational skills of students in the relevant field.
11. Research and application of Animal science.
12. Providing services and knowledge as well as introducing the necessary scientific methods for practitioners and prospective people to further develop this field of production.
Student Occupation Future:
Attracting graduates to offices such as: Faculty of Agriculture, Agriculture Institutes, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Rural Development, Ministry of Counter Narcotics, National Directorate of Environmental Protection, Agricultural Development Bank, NGOs and Institutions and foreign and private farms.
