Introduction and History of the Department:

Since Arabic is the language of Islam, the Qur'an and has also had a great influence on Dari language and literature over the course of history, therefore, the need for a better understanding of the Qur'an, Islamic sciences and ancient Dari literature is related to the correct understanding of Arabic language. With this in mind, the Department of Arabic Language and Literature was established in 2002 in the Faculty of Literature and Humanities, and its aim was to graduate specialists in various fields, including translating from Arabic to Dari and vice versa, translation, writing and professors at universities and colleges. The task of this department is to create a scientific environment and encourage teachers and students to seek scientific and academic standards on education, learning, research and research in literary and social sciences.
