Civil Engineering Department

The purpose of this field is to train specialized personnel who can design, calculate, implement and supervise in various engineering projects, construction, road construction, bridge building, infrastructure and water structure, urban canalization system, and etc, and assume all responsibilities.

The abilities of the civil engineering’s graduates

There are less communities or region where construction activities are not the first and the most urgent needs, even all industrial, agricultural, and other activities are directly or indirectly benefiting from this field. In addition to the growth and development of societies, the advancement of science and technology also reveals the need for careful attention to the construction work and the transformation of past practices. It allocates various construction activates in order to build building, roads, bridges, dams, water supply networks of cities and villages, and a large part of the complex of economic and productive activities of the country.

As noted above, graduates of this field and take on different responsibilities, such as designing, calculating, implementing and monitoring the implementation of various construction projects.

Curriculum

The curriculum of the Civil Department is in accordance with the scientific and professional needs of the community which has been prepared in co-operation with the Hartford University of the United States in accordance with international standards. The curriculum of this department has 152 credits including 3 selected subjects. This curriculum summarizes 12% of the content of the university, 34% of the basic content and 54% of the specific content.
