The second academic conference

The second academic conference of Engineering and Technology was held in the conference hall of Agriculture Faculty, with the presence of Prof, Abdul Aziz Nomani Chancellor of Herat University, Mulavi Menatullah Akhondzadeh, special representative of the Ministry of Higher Education, and Herat University deputy of Finance and Administrative, head of the province sector, head of specialists council, head of the Herat Municipality, representative of scholar council, heads of state departments, deans of faculties, lecturers and students.
The purpose of holding this conference was to raise awareness about mining engineering, the process of mining, and to examine the mechanical properties of the prominent stones of Afghanistan and its position in the international markets.
The conference started with recitation of some verses of Holly Quran, and then Prof, Abdul Aziz Nomani Chancellor of Herat University while welcoming the guests, appreciated the holders of the conference and he talked about the importance of scientific researches and making them practical.

Then, Dr. Amanullah Faqiry professor of Engineering Faculty, presented his conference about evaluating of physical and mechanical properties of the prominent stones of Afghanistan and Hamid Sirat dean of the faculty of engineering of Asia Higher Education Institute presented his conference about the way of mining with a glance on the obstacles and opportunities on the industry of mining in Herat.
Also during the conference, an agreement between Herat University and Herat Municipality was singed in sections of engineering, economy and management.
