Inauguration of the Central Library and Conference Hall at the Faculty of Administration and Public Policy, Herat University

Today, the Central Library and Conference Hall at the Faculty of Administration and Public Policy of Herat University were inaugurated in the presence of Sheikh Al-Quran wal-Hadith Mawlana Abdul Ghani Haqqani, President of Herat University; Dr. Ali Ozgun Ozturk, Head of the Central Asia and Caucasus Office of Turkey; Dr. Bilal Amara, Counselor at the Turkish Embassy in Afghanistan; Dr. Arafat Deniz, Head of the TIKA Office in Herat; the university’s vice presidents, faculty deans, and other distinguished guests.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Sheikh Al-Quran wal-Hadith Mawlana Abdul Ghani Haqqani, President of Herat University, welcomed the guests and expressed his gratitude to TIKA (the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency) for its support in equipping the Central Library and the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Administration and Public Policy. He emphasized that Turkey has always stood by the people of Afghanistan and has provided valuable assistance in various fields.Following this, Dr. Ali Ozgun Ozturk, Head of the Central Asia and Caucasus Office, stated: "Universities are centers of knowledge and education, and we must implement fundamental projects in such institutions. Fortunately, we have successfully completed two significant projects in this university: equipping the Central Library and the Amir Ali Shir Nawayi Conference Hall. We also plan to implement more projects in the future."
Next, Dr. Bilal Amara, Counselor at the Turkish Embassy in Afghanistan, praised the implementation of various projects in Afghan higher education institutions. He said: "We are always striving to execute development projects in universities, and we are pleased to have successfully completed several important projects in higher education institutions in Farah, Badghis, and Herat University."
After that, Dr. Hafizullah Jawad, Dean of the Faculty of Administration and Public Policy, expressed his appreciation for TIKA’s cooperation and stated: "Afghanistan and Turkey share a common cultural heritage, and we are always grateful for the valuable support of our friendly and brotherly country, Turkey."

At the end of the ceremony, Herat University presented commemorative certificates of appreciation to the Head of the TIKA Office and the Head of the Central Asia and Caucasus Office in recognition of their contributions.
