Department of International Relations

This department was established in 2008 under the Law and Political Science Faculty. In this branch of political science, diplomacy is intended to interact with international organizations, and the goal is to teach professionals who are familiar with Afghanistan's positions in international organizations, to understand the issues of day and international developments. The designated goal of administrative and diplomacy at the Faculty of Law and Political Science is to train professional cadres in the fields of international law, principles of international relations, global policy, globalization, foreign policy and its tools are for national securing interests of the country.

Students of this department will be employed after the completion of eight semesters and four academic years at the institutions associated with their field of study (often at the State Department). Currently, this department has (6) scientific staff (cadre).

 

Scientific Objectives

1. To carry out scientific-research activities for the promotion of professional knowledge in the field of political science and international relations;

2. Training of the academic cadre in field of international relations;

3. Efforts to bring scientific principles and practices in the field of international relations;

4. Compliance of the laws, regulations, rules and regulations of the Ministry of Higher Education.

5. Adjustment of the credit system and the effort to standardize the system;

6. Search for practical ways to establish a constructive relationship with the institutions involved in foreign policy and foreign policy implementation of the country, international organizations and foreign political representation in Afghanistan;

7. Research for possible ways to attract scientific cooperation of similar national and international institutions;

8. Conducting seminars, conferences, simulations and scientific discourses.
